Magnetic Resonance Imaging scan of my arse to work out how they will perform the next operation (i''ll refuse to go TMI at this stage as it might scare the kiddies.......)
It's only been 11 months since I was first rushed into hospital too......

persistant infection/abcess they operated on it 11 months ago as an emergency and that didn't fix it so they are scanning to get more info for the next op.

my mam used to work out statistics for the NHS, how to lower waiting times etc all that stuff.

she said: dont get your hopes up in the near future.

all the crap you hear on the news about cuttin waiting times is, well, crap.

8 months quite good for NHS

Lol yep. It's a crap system and should be abolished. I never use it but I still must pay taxes for it - when I'm working anyway. I'd rather just pay a high price when I do finally need some kind of treatment than keep having to pay for other people to get healthcare.

should be the same system as a morgage if you cant pay it

say the op costs £2k - pay it back at £20 a month - couple of years later its all paid for

2k is a lot less than the average op costs in real terms...

I'd like to see your face after a 6 month stay in hospital for cancer treatment, and they present you with a bill for over £100 000. Or what if your child needed a bone marrow transplant? Cash or cheque?

Being unwell sucks :(

As you were the one who mentioned it... why do you have it? (<the problem)

I once heard a story about an ingrown hair on a guys tailbone or something that turned into an awful infection.

Hope it's gets better for you soon Yar :fluffle:

Don't know why it started, could have been an ingrown hair, but now there i a tract somewhere which isn't healing and keeps getting reinfected.

What's all this crap about cancer? I DON'T HAVE CANCER! I DON'T HAVE CHILDREN! Jesus, you people assume too much. If I did actually need some kind of treatment, I'm sure the money accumulated from not having to pay for so many services that I don't even use would be enough for it.

have to agree, the NHS is a great idea, just a shame its getting run into the ground by red tape.
