Can anyone help me as i'm confused of what the supplementary trade skills the wizzards get like 'gem cutting' do?

Gem Cutting etc. don't work. I assume they will in some (much) later patch.

Alchemy doesnt exist either, a wizard can ONLY be a tailor.

They will come in eventually, hopefully.

If Mythic is to be believed, spellcrafting is finally one of their top priorities. See here...

Having read the Camelot Vault boards I think there is a lot of discussion about respeccing crafting (1.50 patch allows you to respec melee/magic skills but not crafting). I hope this happens (not for me personally) as I bet 99% of mages have taken tailoring as their primary skill and the benefits to everyone of player crafted enchanted weapons/armour will be obvious.

Until the huge caster population starts whining again, this time about high resists on spellcrafted armor :(
