was just wondering how many if any people will be beta testing this game for the second open beta with me in the new year.

if you havnt signed up yet, you can do so at the above link...but you need to have signed up by the last date poss..which is the 31st.

open beta 2 starts on the 1st (they will randomly select beta accounts to activate each day..untill all are activated eventually)

i was quite impressed with this game in the first beta, im hoping to see an improvement on a few things this time around.

forgot to mention..the reason tey are activating a random set of accounts a day is because they have got over 60 000 people signed up for beta 2.

i was quite impressed in the first beta..and some of the PvP ideas they had appealed to me alot.

think they had plans of the rogue classes being able to steal things as quests/occupations...and other people being able to get bounty hunting quests from NPCs to hunt down the playing rogues etc...alot of nice ideas.

i just hope they got half-way towards succeeding at implementing it.

hmm i remember having the same prob when i first went to DL it...but i just tried to recreate the prob..and cant for the life of me manage it.

for me..i click on the DL link below..it then says:

You’ve reached this page are not logged in as a registered user or FilePlanet subscriber.

Please log in to FilePlanet to download files.

i then click on the "Click to log in with your existing GameSpy ID" bit..log in..and it returns me to the download bit..where you choose a DL server to get it from.

Signed up, confirmed...and got an email with ID, password and a link to where i can log in and change my account information.

But, when i try to log in on the homepage my password/username dont work, and my answer to the secret question is wrong.

Is it supposed to do that since i am not into beta yet, or is it a bug :touch:

I played the first open-beta and wasn't overly impressed
About the only memory I have is of chasing chickens around the town, but those slippery buggers always got away :<

The 'grind factor' was too high for my liking, though it's probably improved by now. hf

hehe, them pesky chickens..i have to admit i soent quite a long time mining/looking at the graphics in beta 1..will check out more of the lvling system this time.

im still waiting for mine.....servers still seem to be down atm....

Ah well.. none of the passwords I usualy use work, and I hate 'secret questions' because anyone that knows you can get access so i just enter random shit. Why can't they just send it to my email ffs

they do send the password to ya email at first.. and you dont make yer own passwords its like random shit...

i HATE playing games when you have to "click on ground to walk"...


one thing i did like though.. was the way to find stuff... find a guard. click yer way in til you have narrowed it down to a npc.. and you automaticly run to the merchant.

Just an excuse of you not to use secret questions. If I would be english/whateverrocksyourboat who doesn't speak a 2nd language (brrr, that'd be a major setback for me ><) I'd just enter in a nice little riddle only I know the answer to.

What? That takes Effort? Yeah, finding up a riddle instead of typing "what is my dogs name?" is definitely harder.


No hungarians who know me can answer my hungarian secret questions, and that's not because I am such a genius, I don't want them to know the answer, so I make riddles which are unguessable, yet not hard to do.

Weird friends you got who would want to steal your accounts anyway. None of the people who know me irl go "omg I haxor loths daoc/wow/steam accountzor by answering his secret questionz!", and I bet this goes to the majority of people here, so your "anyone who knows me can gain access" reasoning is kinda.... silly.


Edit: Also in the cases you are not allowed to make up your own question, you can still make up your Answer! The answer to the secret question "1+1= ?" can be simply "2" so even a baby can guess it but you can answer it like "The answer might be 3 but it is 2 actually" or "2 rolly polly dwarven heads"

Or have an encrypted file on your harddisk with all the minor username/passwords.
