I don't know one that takes SVHS but it's VERY easy to convert SVHS to phono (just a little inline adapter for a couple of quid).

The video senders I have were bought from Maplins for 50 quid and do the job nicely. They even let you use your remote control er.. remotely. :)

sounds like just the remote control equipment, cost us about £60 for a wireless base unit to go upstairs with the sky box.

I have tried the rest and philips are the best imo (well I bought a micromark one from maplins and it partly died after a year...pretty poor quality and ugly :( )....argos for about 90 quid or much cheaper over at amazon.....philips works from scart and has 2 channels so that you can have dvd player and satelite plugged in simultaneously. IR remote sending as well ofc and they will send music with the right socket.

I dont know what svhs plugs are...but if you can convert it to scart, it should work fine.

yep...thats the one...not a bad price that...I paid >100 quid from argos not too long ago.

Mind, reception is entirely dependant on your house...the thing about argos is, if your walls are blocking the signal (didnt in both my houses) and it isnt satifactory...you can blag them and get your money back.

I have breeze blocks with plasterboard in this house at about 40-50 feet diagonal. If you read the reviews on amazon, they place big stock on positioning...I am guessing there are hot and cold spots ... perhaps reflections/constructive interference (puke .. physics). Personally my sender is tucked away under the big widescreen tv....seems to work fine and worked out of the box with no fiddling. Big question....whats the distance ? If its vertical transmission I would say 99%. But at the end of the day....unless your house is huge...it should just work.

One word of warning...the signal doent like the microwave oven...but I wear tin foil underpants to protect me from the obviously leaky microwave  oh and the alien mind control signals :eek2:

*edit*

That doesnt make sense...if its 2ft 2 inch or 22 inch...you live in a fort. 2.2 inches .... you have plasterboard walls (eg a new house) or extremely thin bricks
