Before I network my computers I need to know whether the signal can passe through walls? If anyone could tell me how many walls the signal could pass through before the network will not work and is there a difference between how penetrating the signal is between the b standard (22 or something like that) and g (54g) standard (cannot remember the full names). By walls I mean brick interior house walls.

Any help would be appriciated.

It also depends on what is located in the wall, although generally it can pass through at least a few walls.....again it is not an easy answer as there are a number of variables

I have 802.11b Linksys kit, with an access point in my upstairs front room, and I can sit at the bottom of my garden with the lappy - about 30 metres through two internal walls and one external. The walls are thick too -1930's house.
