Is beckoning like u want a 1 vs 1 but in reality u got a stealther buddy waiting for someone to take the bait tactis or just coward? =P
Wont name anyone here...

Is the winning a fight no matter what more important than the challenge of a fair and honest fight?
Just curious mates =)

I see too many lagcasting mofos so I thought there would be more "win at all cost" then fair fights.

What he means is:

So /no after they /beckon you. This usually means that there are enemies around (who would potentially spoil the fight). If your opponent turns around to spot why you said /no, backstab him.

If you see a caster, /yell, so he´ll turn around, trying to find out who /yelled... then PA him.

Personally i choosed to play in midgard from start to ensure i would not have to be roleplaying a knight and win in fair fights :) i wanted to be a viking or troll and destroy and kill things in a multiplayer game environment. of course i know this game is named camelot, and if mythic stated that we should obey the rules of chivalry and play fair, sure, i would accept that and quit, but until then i will continue to play :)

To be honest if anyone whom I don't know fairly well beckons me I always enter the fight fully expecting to get added on when they start losing.

If the fight turns out to be clean, fair enough, but never count on it.

again, depends wether u play for rps or play for 'fun'. not much fun or challenge about beating someone down 2-3v1 but seems hib stealthers enjoy it... go figure. ye old "ranger pops, run over to him and get pa'd" springs to mind, whats the point

The example given doesn't really come under 'winning a fight at all costs' imo, its deceptive and lame but it probably means the person attacked will never give the /beckoner a fair fight in future, and add on him at next possible opportunity, so it's his loss really. To my mind winning a fight at all costs would mean using every ability you have from the outset, and abusing all legal exploits etc..

Using exploits in the game, which amounts to cheating, is far worse than the scenario described in the original post.

But both beckoning for a 1v1 and having a mate or 2 waiting to add and exploiting bugs in the game like lag casting show a lack of respect for the game and its players and also a complete lack of skill because both demostrate that the player cannot win without resorting to lame tactics.

yeh it sucked yesterday, a rr5 ns beckoned me or something, i bow'ed to him went towards him and got jumped by about 4 other ns and a couple rangers.

Im like really why? if your gonna zerg me zerg me, don't pretend to give me a 1v1 fight and then gank me.

But for me it just makes soloing easier the next time, if i ever see them again, they get no warning im comming and they'll die. And then i don't feel guilty that i've thought in that way, and it just means more rp's for me.:)

in small grps like 3,4 peeps i like to be outnumbered (5-7 or smth) but in fg im very strict with no adds and no adding from our side (goes for killing duels and soloers as well)
