Windows Update Fail's

I have a Windows 2000 Advanced Server running:

Cmail
IIS5
IE6

Its a Dual PII 450 - 1GB RAM - 80GB SCSI HDD

When I go to do windows update it downloads and when it goes to execute from the computer it fails.

I have checked the update log and removed the patch just before the update when it first failed.

Has anyone seen this happen before?

How is it failing?

I had a problem when it kept telling me that the cookies were switched off. I did a search on google groups and it came up with a direct link to download the ActiveX controller that does the updates then it worked ok.

But it depends on what you mean by failing...

He means once its been downloaded it refuses to install. I've had it not download before but if it does I've never had a problem with it not executing.

I had that the other day when trying to install SP2 (Where it wouldnt install)
