Firstly, something seems to be wrong with my registry. When i ever i change any settings, for example - my IE start page or the speaker volume, the next time i boot up i get a corrupt registy message box. This means i have to stick with the standard settings with everything. Anyone know why this happens?

Secondly, in my parents computer, they have a 40GB hard drive, but windows says its only 10 GB. Dont know the mother board, dont know anything about the PC. but does ayone know why windows would say its only 10GB?

On that note you need to check FDISK, which shows partitions.

How long you been running 98 on your computer?

Is the motherboard and the Harddrive the same age? ie, bought at the same time? if not then maybe the motherboard is too old for the harddrive and can only recognise upto 10gb?

I had that problem once. If itas a new system that I doubt that will be it.

my two cents ....
