Notice anything different about me? That's right...

This week I am mostly sitting in a course in London training for a four-hour Windows 2000 exam (for December) to update my MCSE to Win2K. Mixed :( and :D.

9am to 6pm su><0rs. :( Fortunately we have webbeh access. :)

Posts will be infrequent and sneaky.

Heh. Yield!

Knowledge=power
Power=Money
Money+Power=Purdeh ladieez

That's why we do it, isn't it?

I've heard this '4-in-1' Win2000 exam has a 14% pass rate. Plus I only get one chance at it. When I fail, I have to do all four separately.

Naaaah. I'll have the same job, do the same work and get paid the same amount regardless of whether I get 0% or 100% in meh exam.

It's just nice to have qualifications, that's all. Don't mean nuttin.

Bollox, my college didn't look at my GCSEs and they still let me in. College is much better than school, never be tempted to join sixth form, they still treat you like children, college tutors treat you like adults.

well they atleast help when trying to get into a "better"* college

*one that achieves higher grades than the norm

was that an insult?

Quick someguy the handbag!

My college tutor was fantastic, he helped me do well in areas I would normally fail, he stopped me from giving up the course, and when he left I gave up the course. Couldn't live the life of a student no more.

Good luck SomeGuy

I am wanting to do MCSE to, but I was holding off for XP?

Anyone heard if there gonna be changing it for XP and its server bits and pieces?

Thankyou...

I wouldn't hold your breath for XP exams, fella. I've got MCSE NT4 and am now upgrading to 2000. No doubt there'll eventually be a similar path from 2000 to XP, though XP Server (or whatever it'll be called) hasn't even be released yet and might not, given that 2000 Server really covers everything.

Do it, lad.

Yeh I hear they are moving them over to XP exams now. Although this shouldnt make a differeance as XP is just 2000 with new wallpaper. 2000 = NT5. XP = NT5.1

Good luck anyhow SomeGuy. I would like to get a MCSE one day. Then maybe look into the Cisco qualifications.

Struggling now... Talking about Active Directory theory and all I can think about is how cool it would be to go back to bed. :(

I don't know how peeps manage to spend an hour+ getting to and from work and still be content in their lives. I'm tempted to bunk off and just read my chuffing Win2000 book to catch up. :(

Send... help...

Two points...

1. It takes me 2 and a quarter hours to get to work on a good day. Around 3 hours on a bad day. And I have to repeat that journey to get home again.

2. I'm not content. :(

Jesus! Why do you do it? Surely no amount of money is worth that time and hassle out of every day. 4-6 hours just to get to and from work?

STOP IT! Work locally for slightly less money. You'll be happy again. Takes me 15 mins usually to get to work. I'm often home by 4:30 if I start at 8am and even then I roll out of bed at 7:30. Wouldn't change it even if they offered me an extra £10K to work in the city.

I want to see a marked improvement between now and next month, Kenny.
