Sorry if this has been answered in other threads treied a quick search but nothing came up.
I was recently messing with settings trying to get two accounts running smoother, I tried the client sleep minimised and window mode which is recommended in many threads, however now the programme crashes before I can even get to the character select screen so I can't undo my changes.

Anyone know if theres away to change the setting out of game ie. by changing a file with note pad, or have any idea what may be causing the crashes?
Thanks for any replies.

Go to your DAoC install directory, there should be a .ini file in there which contains all your settings.

Sorry I can't give more detail than that, as I've not had to do it in a while.

AYe been having a look round can't seem to find it the closest I can find are character settings and some files named gf which looks liek they may control graphics settings (have titles like shadows and water) but can't find any references to windowed mode.

If anyone has any ideas to the file name or what windowed mode is listed under please let me know.

Your user.dat file can be found inside your normal game folder, to open it select Open with... and then choose notepad [ works best for me ], then you should have something that looks like this:

[quick] <-- Quick login data
entry9=NAME, Prydwen, 193.252.123.33, 10622, 3, 6
entry8=NAME, Broceliande, 193.252.123.34, 10622, 3, 2
entry7=NAME, Prydwen, 193.252.123.33, 10622, 3, 6
entry6=NAME, Prydwen, 193.252.123.33, 10622, 3, 6
entry5=NAME, Prydwen, 193.252.123.33, 10622, 3, 6
entry4=NAME, Prydwen, 193.252.123.33, 10622, 3, 6
entry3=NAME, Prydwen, 193.252.123.33, 10622, 3, 6

accounts= ACCOUNT DATA

If at any time you want to reset your quick logins or start with fresh account information then just delete user.dat

Also on a side note about dual logging clients you once ingame you can type: /clientsleep background/never

As you can imagine using /clientsleep background puts your client on minimal usage but keeps it from going Link Dead, another little handy tip is to change the way your computer handles your accounts, information below:

Control Panel > System > Performance - Settings > Advanced - Processor Scheduling - Background services [ By default this setting is set to Programs ]

Hope this helps :)
