Hiya, I've got a bit of a problem with Catacombs and windowed mode. Basically I go to my user.dat and do the windowed=1 and enable windowed mode ingame but instead of loading the game in a small window about 1/4 the size of my monitor as it used to do (which I liked) it now opens BIGGER than my actual resolution, and means I have portions of the game cut from my view. What must I do to fix this? It used to work fine so I figure its due to Catacombs. Everytime I log in my UI is in all weird places too, 'cus of this

Checked your screen resolutions for your PC, and Catacombs?

Could be your using 800 x 600, and DAoC opens up at 1027 x 768.

My resolution is 1024 x 768, I don't think Camelot opens in anything larger than that. Can I alter the resolution which Camelot opens at or anything?

You cant have 1024x768 desktop and on catacombs or it will be way too big, you need to have your desktop at least 1-2 stages up on your catacombs windowed resoloution to make the whole of the catacombs screen viewable

You can, just drag the window as far up as possible so you don't the the headline of the window. Then your start menu line will only cover like half a centimeter at the bottom of your DAoC screen, so just drag every daoc menu up that bit and it's fine.. I have both at 1280x1024 :>

If that made any sense xD

If your desktop is 1024 x 768 and your windowed catacombs is same you will have a visable game screen the same size as your moniter so the borders of the window will be off screen (or your game screen will be).

personally i find that by setting desktop 1 'notch' higher (1280x1024) and having game window at 1152x864 works well but i guess it depends on the size of your moniter/UI, i also set desktop background to be plain black, helps with constrast problems.

If it hurts your eyes - change the refresh rate of your monitor.

If its a crt monitor, and fairly new 75 hz - 85hz is fine.
If its an LCD monitor - read the manual, but most run at 60hz.

Alternatively, get your eyes tested. I did recently and found i had to wear glasses for VDU work... Ironic really.
