Window Dragging Vampiirs ?

How do vampiirs manage to continue running faster than me if i am sprinting and prevent flight has procced... ??
Anyone answer that question ?
Some vamp out here tonight named Ainenzota seems to be getting away from me rather easily.
Perhaps she can respond with a reason, i have fraps evidence

not a chance - charge on a 15 min timer is the space of 10 mins i fought her 3 times and same thing happened over and over, just now a sb garroted and she still ran the fuck away while i was sprinting.
Also she strafing round me faster than i can turn, jerking all over the place.

Windowdraggin have become quite common in thid it seems, met a trio of 2 bards and a druid.. Both bards windowdragged, was a pity.. Oh, and if Ainenzota is in same guild as Artemisa, she might be same person.. And Artemisa was a bm with speedhack, sucky..

well he is useing Bug for Sure !!! i had him on 2% HP and he lag's away from me faster then a mini sprinting and on 2% hp you realy cant move !!! so yes he use bug big time and he didt every time he was abut to loose the looser !! he jumbed me laged off and didt again til i was dead he just laged away every time used self heal and came back !! how low can one get to use this Bug whit a ower powered Vampiir damn that sucks

Correct.

Speedhack most likely. Very easy to track. Just rightnow the people with name and time of the encounter.

I used window dragging for not taking fall dmg and I know lots and lots of ppl who did it too. And it was removed in some recent patch cuz' I remember doing it in early NF too :>

Window Draggins sucks, just means the players that use it cant play thier chars as they have to cheap to win.

Just the same as the streafer's

woa a dude almost tryin to excuse himself for cheating.. YES CHEATING.. u cant bug abuse and call it anything els then cheating. and yes u can still speedhack. met a mincer not long ago that did it to me.. i hit him then pushed charge and sprint so he wouldnt get away. the dude ran alot faster then me Also met a friar and a theur managing to do the same:O

and plz no excuse on why u use it.. if u dont have safe fall u rnt suppose to be able to jump down on distances without taking dmg..
like u see someone below ck wall or sumtin then jump down to kill him takin no dmg when u should.. thats cheating!!

The vamp was using speedhack program like lots do, it sucks i wish they could/would fix it, and im not sure how you were window dragging to make your self lag before NF or whenever it stopped working for you but i can still make myself lag loads (can jump over huge walls) by just dragging chat box resize from 1 corner of screen to other very fast this still works right now and there are probly other things you could do still so it hasnt been removed atall see peeps do it sometimes still when they need to :touch:

I've noticed this as well no matter where I fight Vamps. Their speed doesn't break properly. They're using speed and then bolt you with powertap - which breaks your speed but not their own (but it should). That's just one example and the least problematic.

The main time I notice it is when they get into melee with you they keep speed up for at least 10 seconds regardless of what action they're taking.

I've had a Vamp diseased and ooe from chasing me, yet he managed to get his speed up briefly, use it to catch me (btw I'm on shaman here so I've got perma end - and I'm sure its not charge as he casts a speed buff) and start hitting me. So I disease him again thinking his speed will break after he melee'd and nuked me ... but no.... he chases me for about 1200 units at vamp Speed whilst hitting me in the back and I die.

Bugged I reckon. Happens all the time when I'm fighting 'em as well.

And another thing - why does the Vamp claw have a longer range than melee attacks do? Surely it IS a melee attack? oO

vamp speed only breaks if they are hit by something eg nukes or melee attacks, if they hit someone and they keep running the speed still stays on. well, my speed stayed on whilst hitting a door. doubt it would make much difference if the pwr bolt stopped speed tho tbh, as most vamps have charge 2 so can catch you up the majority of the time anyways

dont know about that disease thing, should have slowed the vamp down, but as for the claw, it is more of a DD than a melee attack as it isnt always used in melee, can be used for buffs, end drain or debuffs

That was abuse of /faceloc, but that was patched out at NF I think, or maybe before. Commonly abused by most stealthers at OF milegates.

Precisely, that shouldn't happen. Any kind of melee action is meant to instantly breaks speed but it doesn't on Vamps. It's bugged. I get chased down by vamps that stay in speed when I'm 100% sure they aren't charging.

It's just their speed buff doesn't drop properly. Kinda like how when you fly past someone with a skald/bard/mincer and use mez your speed doesn't drop instantly. Only for Vamps it lets they chase people at high speed and beat the crap out of them :|
