Hi all
I cant connect to the server to start downloading the next patch

I get as far as the do a completly file check/ cd code bit

then I hit return and it freezes up :(

Ive internet explorer set to lowest security and im pretty sure
the ports on the firewall are open...

Anyone any ideas?? Is their a good tech support site other
than the camelot-europe one????

Thanks in advance

Have you tried re-installing? To me, it doesn't really sound like a connectivity problem, more like a software error... Alas, I can't really say, as your description of the problem isn't very detailed.

OT: Would recommend you put Iexplore back up on at least medium safety (or ditch it for a better browser) - it doesn't affect your connectivity at all, it's only related to that application itself (Iexplore, that is).

... but, try re-installing, check the firewall/router to see if the correct ports are open (and UPD/TCP) - when you've done that, and if it doesn't help, come back with a more detailed analyzis of the problem (or try RightNow, dunno if they'll offer any help tho).

it has nothing to with the IE security settings and in the firewall you should have patch.bin, login.dll and game.dll all with free access to anything for it to work. Then again the firewall should automatically tell you when they try do something so you most likely already have them all three with access, right?

Mozilla, latest... is good and I love it. I made a thread about it on the OT forum because like you said in this comment it is OT :p
But like Galannor and I said it has nothing to do with your games connectivity.

Not necessarily correct. If it's a software firewall, it'll tell you (with an annoying pop-up) that this and this program is trying to connect, you wish to let it do so, yada-yada. However, if it's a hardware firewall (routers is a good example of these, as alot of private persons have these without fully understanding all their functionalities).

Oh, and back to OT: I dunno, haven't tried Mozilla... Didn't like the screenies I saw, way too Iexplore-like for my liking - personally using Opera and tend to like it's wast configurability and maneuverability to consider moving to another browser anytime soon, unless one is able to offer me something better for the same amount of money (that is, zip).

if you are using IE make sure that you don't leave it as work offline as this will stop DAoC connecting....
