Win32 Blaster Worm

Just talked to the guys in our NT group here. They are saying they got patched systems that got infected.
At the moment it doesnt look like they where infected before the patch.

Anyone else seen this ?

I checked for infection and I am clean...but I cant find a patch for win98 (sorry...not related to your question..but perhaps you can help me)

We had about.... 32 clients today phoning up telling us their machines were shutting down. Was pure madness, atleast i get paid for the callouts And the virus dosent have any effect on FAT partitions, only NTFS.

Jsut updated Norton AV using Live Update, this nasty has been added to the defs, so update now if you've not already

we found it

mate called me and said anothe patch overwrites some of the files of the rpc patch, making your machine vernable again if you install it after the rpc patch.

dont have the patch numbers here, will have to look for them.
But be carefull make sure the last patch you install is the rpc one
