Anyone installed this yet ? If read a few reports about problems, and fixes for fixes, etc - anyone had any problems with this, or is it all just sweetness and sunlight ?

I installed it a little while ago, and it is fine. And it fixed the slow shut down that SP3 introduced for me.

As Will. rightly says, I believe SP4 is a worthwhle update for most people. I too read about the fixes released shortly after SP4, but I don't believe they were anything too major, it's merely when software is powering big businesses and servers that any updates have to be 100% stable else you'll be left with a lot of unhappy customers.

As far as I am aware, though, you can always uninstall SP4 if you find it's not for you, but as this may be the last service pack, it's probably worth getting.

Kind Regards

Try installing SP4 straight after booting up, and just leave it to do it's business, don't run any apps whilst it's updating. Service packs tend to consume a great deal of resources when installing, so it's best to just leave it and hopefully it will complete as expected (although it probably won't be all that quick :)).

Kind Regards
