Have a look in the Event Viewer. There should be an entry in the System log at the same time the system restarts.

If you let us know the Event ID, Source and main text we might be able to help.

KT7a? Is the BIOS up to date? It definately needed and update to take a 1.4 Ghz Athlon, might be a prob with the XP? mind, not sur eif it should work at all if it's like that.

Just an idea..

Hang on a minute...

Only the KT7A-RAID motherboard version 1.3 can support the AMD Athlon XP from 1600+ to 1900+. If you have a previous version (as I do) then your mobo will not support your 1.4Ghz processor and you'll get unpredictable results.

Have a look in your mobo manual to find out how to check the version number, though I think it is on a label on the side of the ISA slot at the very bottom of the board.

More likely you want to make sure (and let us know) what cooling system you have on your processor. The system BIOS will shut down the PC if the processor gets too hot.
