win2k drivers on xp?

is there a way i could trick my win2k driver into working on xp?

the installer keeps stopping cause the installl is only for win2k.

Have you tried using the compatibility tab, I doubt this would solve it but you could give it a go.

Right click on files and select properties then go to the compatibility tab and select W2K in the compatibility mode box.

Are you able to extract the install files and get XP to Add/Remove Hardware without using the installer? Should work.

I take it there are definitely no XP drivers for your scanner on the manufacturer's website?

compatability tools wouldn't work but as the installer for the drivers is a 16 bit app

but i got them working
changed the windows product name in the registry from xp to 2000 and the installer worked
