No - Will you want each new area to me a new adventure

Yes - Will you want to know the best place to go for new drops

Maybe - Just a quick peek so you know where to adventure ?

Is Dodens Grava part of Shrouded Isles?

If so, then no, I won't be looking at it, or at the most a few brief glances to get my initial bearings. I didn't look at any Darkness Falls maps when it came out, found it much more fun to explore. It's not really to prove I'm a 'hardcore' player, but because the suspense involved in exploration is something I enjoy. I'm returning for content, not for company, so hopefully there'll be enough to explore there.

As for those with different playing styles, I suppose there is little ill virtue in the powergamers storming the place first time over being fully prepared, I suppose it's a wise approach even if it defeats any air of trepidation or exploration.

Dodens Grove is part of the next patch. It's like a mini-Darkness Falls, without the entrance-limitations.

Thanks Tesla, seems I'm already falling out of touch with the place. Threw the thread off-track so soon, will Kharok ever forgive me? The guilt is too much to bear! *swoons*

Yes.

But not to know where the good things drop, simply because I don't want to waste my time getting lost. I think it's not fun exploring if you get lost all the time. It's way more fun if you can mark places you've been at so you know where to head next.

Damn foreigners! It's "Dödens Gruva", which is swedish (like a hundred other names in DAoC/Midgard especially), and means "Death's Grove" or "The Grove of Death" if you prefer.

Loosely translated as "The Park of Doom", but that just sounds off.

Always interesting to see what the original poster will be doing as well; if someone poses a question, I'd expect his or her own answer as well. So what's it to be, Kharok? Raw exploration, maps, a trip to gamefaqs or even *gasp* a Prima Strategy Guide?

C'mon, cultivate your own thread!

Well for me, it was a quick peek ...

I know know, it's a dungeon similar to DF and Spindelhalla, but that's all.

So keep an eye out for the messages ;

Kharok was just killed by xxx
<Rezzed>
Kharok was just killed by xxx

And I apologise in advance to anyone I came accross after 50 days in the dungeon asking where the exit was again !

Afaik grove means "skogsdunge" or simular in Swedish and thats pretty far away from Dodens Gruva witch is Swedish and means "The Mine of Death" in English just like Moria ;)

And I will look at the maps actually I already did I don't think it spoils anything for me I get lost anyway :eek:

Dunno where you get Midgaard from, Midgard is more correct since thoose foreigners usually dont have å on their keyboards. Putting in an extra a is just silly.
