when they get the insane absorb when buffed?

Could a L50 specced Death Servant Necro be able to stand in the middle of a zerg with its 21dps dmg shiled up and spam its 219d pbaoe spell during its 6 sec mini-castable-moc and do some serious damage?

Could also be an uber PL toon.

In short: No.

Bluecon mob in terms of taking damage from casters. Necro pets drop like a sack of shit to non-melee.

Getting the pet where u actually want it is a real pain, so i doubt it will catch on.

Necro's should be able to directly control it imo.

no, although they will be close to being melee immune, what good is it if you still can be mezzed over and over and die from spells in a few nukes...

they will probably get better at pve, but like i care...

making a class based on a pet in daoc is like making a flightsim with the pong engine, is shit...

even vs melee the interruption duration takes far longer then any other class, and if you press a spell button the mana is wasted even if he didnt cast the spell, and you have no moc

They do have a 6 sec mini moc called something painworking.

Enough to get off 2 pbaoe spells.

And tanks hitting a 21dps shield with pbaoe also hitting them would really hurt.

Facilate Painwork ( or something ) is a bugged version of QC, you can get off 2 spells ( been told 3 never managed myself ).

anyway, Necros will not get better abs. They will get Melee Resists and more HP thats all, so ~80%abs and 26% melee Resists.
Survivability is not necros problem, it's the abilitie to controll your movement, RA's, Grouping ( cant select the necro from group window/minibar, you have to click on the pet to heal it ) and ofc being Bluecon Mob with 26% MResists do pose a bigproblem

Its ok versus a pure tank-group if the pet is fully (self)-buffed.

The problem is the lack of MOC and the fact every caster laughs about you and 3-shots you :)

The PB is 'low' delve (DD219 is low for PB) and while 21 dps is ok for a focusshield you cant PB the healer/druid so he will happily heal the tanks while they bash the pet down.

After leaving him mezzed for the entire time during killing the rest of the group, necro perhaps last-man standing and without support he will die too. Just a matter of time.

Necro in its current form is not very good to RvR with, due to pet-positioning for PBAoE is very hard, interrupts, no RA's, CC problems, bluecon and mob/PvE-rules for hits and crits

the pbae damage is much lower then a real pbae, and faciliate painworking is extremely bugged

they should switch abo with shade and everything on the class will be fixed...

necro pets have no immunity timer to CC, take fall duration and have no aoe fall off (ie standing on edge of aoe they still take full duration). That effectivly means necros take full cc duration, if that happened to any other class it would be seen as a bug. Necros should get a spell that they cast on there necro to remove mezz.

FP works as follows, 1) make sure you are not casting any spell (that means no Life-drain shouts for a few secs), 2) then after your pets swings hit FP and the spell you wish to cast, 3) after about 3sec your pet will cast FP followed by the spell you have lined up, when this happens press another sell.

yes you can get 2 spells off but you have to stop casting the LB shouts for a while. As soon someone sees you doing this they can stop you by using some kind of instent CC (slam or mezz/stun shouts etc).

Thid experience does not apply to end game RvR.

The only RvR related thing that will improve is the ability to go solo and kill stealthers.

Dont think thats true, you learn alot about enemy classes in the bg's. Sure some classes are better in bg's and some worse off in bg's and this change when they lvl up. But many still have their uber twinked chars and bots. And zergs.

In BG1 albion rules the CC war as other realms have no instent mezzes, nuking is better than melee as resists scale up as at a higher %, while spell damage scales up so spell damage delvs as doing more damage but the mobs and enemy have more hits anyway.

FP can get messed up when someone hits your pet and its in passive mode, and to set the pet in defensive in RvR isnt a very good idea cuz unlike mobs, real players actually run away when the pet goes after them (atleast casters do)
