Hi all,

For any of you who are concerned about wildlife protection I thought this may be of interest its from an email sent to me from the WWF theres a simple procedure to follow if you click the link at the bottom of my post and send a pre composed email to show people that we do want to retain the WCU, it took be about 1 minute to do.

Its not much but it all helps and if enough people contribute to this as well as the other campaigns then we can make a difference,

Many thanks
Ez

The Wildlife Crime Unit (WCU) in London plays a vital role in tracking down and prosecuting wildlife criminals. They uncover and stamp out the illegal trade in endangered species, their body parts and derivatives.

We have recently learned that Metropolitan Police budget cuts will reduce the WCU by half, severely hampering their fight against wildlife crime.

In the last 10 years they have seized over 30,000 endangered species products from London's black market, including items made from tigers, rhinos, bears, elephants, reptiles, and musk deer.

A cut in WCU funding would send out a dangerous signal that wildlife crime is a low priority for London's police force.

Is that what Vlad said? Did he tell you to close your eyes too? ;/

I think catching 30,000 products is a very respectable amount and due to that number being received maybe it is a good idea to put some of the money elsewhere, theres a lot of very dangerous neighbourhoods in London now that need a lot better Policing.
