Wild West plz

I want a game set in the Old West, please. Circa 1875, or something. This is a great period for a game but there just don't seem to be any. I've tried that Wild West mod for RtCW but it isn't really finished yet and plays pretty ropey. I'm downloading the Badlands mod for UT, but I suspect the same type of thing.

Anyone know of any games like this that are worth having? I just want to spin my Peacemaker and drop some rustlers.

Someguy, have you tried "Western HL"? Unsurprisingly, it's a HL mod set in the west. Had SP and online DM. I played it about a year ago, and it was a bit shit. To say that they'd done what looked to be a huge SP though, i guess it was not bad. The online play was alright in the smaller town maps, iirc. I think there was a LMS gamemode as well.

Wasn't it called Wanted? The SP bit was bug ridden but still pretty fun as I recall.

Oh yeah, I played that! It was shit, but probably the best one of the lot. The UT Badlands is shit, too.



If I knew what I was doing I'd make my own damn mod with the look and feel of Young Guns, primarily. All of these ones out at the moment seem to have no direction.

I played Wanted ages ago when a mate set up a server on his 64k ISDN line. T'was good fun albeit a tad laggy. Might be worth a punt though.

I'd be up for that Q3 western mod... If Leggy's offer is serious, then you're sorted for it Summo. You don't need the CD, since you can probably "find" pak0.pk3 online if you look in the right places, so it would just be the CD Key that you'd want.
