Wierd LDing - please help

In the past week I been having a nightmare playing Daoc, constant LDs and red ping/lag.

When I run pingplotter the ping is fine and there is no packetloss.

I even run Daoc with Pingplotter in the background and still showed no high ping or packetloss when I had just LD.

I have run adaware too, and system is clean.

Does anyone have any idea?

is there a way to check if any of my ports are being closed by the isp?

the last 2 days i have had exactly the same problem as you. Really bad lag in the game and constant lds. My isp (clara.net) until now has been great with v.few lds (maybe one a week) and fairly lag free.
I'm not sure if this is a problem there end or my ISPs end. If it doesn't sort itself out within a few days my ISP will be recieving some very distasteful e-mails

I tried everything, removed and reinstalled, graphics drivers, Direct X, Daoc, SI...

not made any difference at all, ping and packetloss are fine and when I talked to the isp they told me that the line is clear at their end, no port blocking, no nothing.

So I am lost and cannot blame anything, anyone has any clue at what can be of help in solving this problem?

I have had this problem for about 3 weeks, GOA customer support have been completely usless (no surprise there then), no responce to my questions for about 2 weeks. This morning was even worse 7LD's within a half hour period.

Fraid i cant solve ure problem m8, but im the same past 3 weeks maybe 4 just constant LD's, ive been playing like 8 months and never had a problem before, and it did start about a week before i instaled shrouded isles so it cant be anything to do with that.
likewise, my ISP says my connection is perfect, they would like to help but without numbers showing problems theres nothing they can do.

My ISP is NTL:Home

plz post ure ISP's maybe we all got same shitty ISP and that the problem

surely do not have same isp since I am from a different country, but this is strange, and the fact that there are other peeps having almost same problem makes me think that there maybe something wrong not from our side.

After sending a very nasty email to GOA about there apparent lack of anything resembling customer support I finally got a response from them. Surprise, surprise they are blaming my ISP, ntl-Home, and two guesses who my ISP will blame.

The problem is due to a matter of your browser's setting.

Remember, use only Internet Explorer 5.5 or better 6.0 :

=> 'Privacy' must be set on "ACCEPT ALL THE COOKIES".
=> 'Security' must be set on "LOW".
=> Close your browser and start it again, before trying a new login.

If it doesn't work in spite of those advices, please try from another working station, with a different configuration.
Also, it is necessary to verify if the date and the hour of your PC are corrects.

i havent actualy tried this yet only just got the mail, but i stopped my LDing by downloading the basic zonealarm firewall and having that up while playing.

hope one of these methods helps you guys
