Why do ppl do this?

Im just wandering why ppl keep on their signatures their deleted/retired chars.

Wouldnt it be easier and space friendly if they just got those old dead chars from their signatures than go to all that trouble to put <retired/deleted/deceased> after their names ?

Soon someone is gonna have 10 chars in their signature. Why not just have like the 2 most important ones in it.

Some people do it, because they have left DAoC for some time and made new characters. In order for the the old freinds to recognize the old friend they put up "formerly known as", its just so people have a better opportunity to recoginize friends, nothing more..

i think its a sadness thing. its to prove just how sad you are. its like people who put they're realm rank after they're name. novamir is the ultimate sad git when it comes to this. Novamir Gaygay (whatever his 2nd name is), Celt Raven Poofter, <guild name>, then he has his other char. grandad or something, blue con.

but i agree, its not good to put multiple chars on there, it really really does look sad, especially when u have 2 or more lvl 40+ chars.

The "retired" or "deleted" is to tell u: Don't even try to contact that name, it's gimped, LEAVE IT.
