Its a complete mystery.
My poor little 34 Ice Wiz spends more time trying to explain to Alb tanks/casters/mezzers/clerics what pbaoe is than playing sometimes.
On average, less than 1 group in 5 will "get" it. Even then, I will usually die 3-4 times before all tanks realise that "take aggro" means "take aggro from all incoming" not all hit the same mob.
I was even turned down the other day by a 4 tank/cleric/minstrel group at the goblins because "they wanted another tank really".
Later I was explaining to a fellow wizard what pbaoe was!
In a good pbaoe group, XP flows like water, the healer needs less heals as the mobs hit few people, less downtime, no failed CC wiping out groups, minstrel can fight .... etc.
Come on guys!
If you are a tank, at least do the realm a favour - go look up how pbaoe groups work. Seek out a local ice wiz and try it. You will not go back to normally levelling!
Yes, it is not always feasible but the Albion fixation with root/mezz puts us at a major disadvantage over hibbies for whom pbaoe groups are second nature.
Ad, yes, there are a lot of ice wizards around these days - they just usually give up telling people about pbaoe!
