Why can't we have just one football team?

Why the heck when we fight, we fight as one nation. When we ...err can't think of anything else

But seriously why don't we just have a single UK national footy team? Surely we would have a better chance! More top players to choose from, equals better team. So why the heck do we handicap ourselves by playing as 4 different teams! D'oh.

Coz its 4 different countries m8. Imagine a Europe footy team. Oh yes wed win everything
Also: Scots, Irish and Welsh all really detest the English. Theyd rather die than be associated that closely with our fair nation.
Doesnt matter that we keep their taxes low. Ungrateful sods.

Oh yes and theres 5 teams. (6 if you count Berwick upon Tweed)
