Whoo hoo! Finally get meh new Monitor

Went PC World today and bought a Samsung SyncMaster 753s 17" Monitor, cost £119

Looks pretty cool

Also, it says it will support 1024*768 at 80hz, but its currently on 60hz in the display properties..

If i select 80hz will it improve my FPS, or can it cause damage?

I doubt it will cause any trouble. it wont improve you're fps though m8. Try turning off vsynch in your video cards properties, then you'll see what your pc can do. If it is below 60fps, Im afraid you may as well leave the refresh rate at 60.

i now get 99fps after i disabled V-Sync HURRAH!

How do I turn off v-sync, I have a GF2MX, I get only 10fps with high graphics for 'z-steel soldiers' when I have optimum spec for the game.

Go to Display options, Advanced, go to tab with name of your card *ie* geForce 2 MX, click Additional Properties, OpenGL Settings, Vertical Sync -> Select ALWAYS OFF.


Thats the way to mine anyway, yours *should* be similar

urmmmmm, you should run the nVidia refresh rate fix instead of turning off vsync, turnin it off makes ur gfx look w*nk
