Now looking at ebay i could make like £1000 because the PAL xbox premiums are selling for like 500ish each!

Insane money :p

Is it just me or is this sort of behaviour really shit?

I can see the opportunity for profit but it strikes me as a little gay. I hope you sleep well at night knowing that you have deprived some fat kid of his christmas present.

And as for the monkeys that would actually pay over 500 pounds for a console. Well it's no wonder that so many people are growing up completely ignorant.

I have no problems with doing this kind of thing, the only people that lose out are idiots with too much money! Any real 'fans' would have known about the launch and pre-ordered as soon as they could. The main people who will be buying off ebay are the pretentious idiots who 'must have it' at launch to show off, or the really spoilt kids (as there are no 'must have games'). I've got no problems making money from either of these types!

Besides, when I pre-ordered there were some decent lauch titles (the new morrowind), now they been delayed so now it's an opportunity for me to pay for the new dvd player I bought.

its not shitty behaviour, these guys just wish they'd thought of it or had the disposable income to take advantage.

Yeah im gonna go check out a few places that are tipped to have a few going on launch night - if i can i'll buy an extra and sell on ebay for a nice markup.

People are stupid if they pay such prices for a console, if they looked a little bit harder they could find one easily enough. Fact is with so many people planning on reselling the console it won't be as profitable as it might of been in the past.

tbh, what i think is really shit is how companies ALWAYS underestimate console launch figures. Do they do it on purpose? perhaps, are they just retarded? perhaps.

All i know is it really fucks me off when you see abysmal stock figures such as the leaked Tesco ones, 1,100 units total for whole of tesco uk - what a joke.

Also i think highstreet stores should not allow preordering of consoles like this, games sure but not consoles - all high street stores should be first come first serve on launch night not all this bollocks about advertising xbox 360s in their window and then when u ask if you can buy one they just laugh at you.

I just got my Premium from Tesco. Its going straight on ebay later.

I'm also heading to PC world tomorrow morning to try and get a core system or two (its all they have). Any I get there will be going onto ebay, unless someone wants to buy it from me in the car park, or if they mug me.

Weeeeeeeeeeeeee profit.

I know some stores will sell the ones they have in pre-ordered to there pre-ordered customers without addons (games, accessories etc) without a problem. However they're well within the rights to refuse a sale if you only just want the system on its own - i.e they'll only display certain bundle deals, I know some stores will be doing this for the 360.

Not that im saying what ppl are doing is wrong, if theres a profit to be made fair do's.

The console makes nothing for stores, partly from the fact it actually costs more to make than it is sold for, thus all stores will try to bolt games and accessories on to the sale.

They have made less on purpose. The reason for this is purely to sell them quicker and annoy Nintendo and Sony. They can say they 'sold out' when in fact there was not enough put up for sale. They have more than they say in the wharehouse'. They can now sell the others knowing people will think they might 'all run out.' And people that pay £1k are rightly taken up the ***.

On another note, Choices (Video rental) appear to have a large number in reserve, I was in there last night and a chap in front of me ordered the super duper 360 for a £10 deposit... so if your after one... head there! :)

Wow your stupidly cynical. They have gone with the early release to cash in on xmas and get a good march on Sony. They simply cannot produce enough consoles to meet the launch schedule they have. Worldwide launch within a two week window.

Heh thats abit stupid dude :p

Why is there more Core then Premium? simple they cannot make the HDD quick enough that is obvious, i've been down town this morning and most shops ie GAME, HMV etc have Core in stock to sell but no HDD.

I had a bash with a few games at the launch party last night; I was a bit drunk but tbh I saw very little to get excited about; nice eye-candy (unless you've got a high-end PC, in which case, "meh, seen it".), but no game that would make me sign up to day one pre-order hysteria. Happy to wait until next year when there might be something I want to play. If I'd bought one, I'd have put it on ebay without a second thought.
