Their average life expectancy was just a few days, but he survived the entire war, including over 100 days spent as a runner i think... one of the biggest things is: WHAT is the real religion??

there are so many relegions in this world, some have 10+ gods, some have 1, and some dont have a 'god' but something completely different...

what about the old egyptian gods? the greek gods? the norse gods? which are the real ones? why do the 'believers' think their god is the real one? because their parents or teachers hammered it in when they were just little kids or because they fear the unknown and have to hold on to something that makes their future more certain?

so if someone says his god is the only real one, then what are the others? made up? fake? what makes them think theirs isnt then? ah i see... faith... faith is what you must have... never question it

before i even start talking about reason or science i look at the fact that there are so many relegions who each have their own version of 'the creation' or whatever, that i simply dont know which one i should even consider to begin taking serious...

for me the only true 'relegion' is technology, i believe that if people would stop the whining at each other and invest more time and MUCH more money in science that we could build our own heaven eventually, we could make ourselves practically immortal (age wise) and have all the things we want...

i hope they can reach that level before humans will have destroyed themselves with wars about 'killing unbelievers' or plunder...

Scientificaly its down to how many worshipers follow similar enough beliefs. If enough of the electorate put down 'jedi-knight' then its generaly accepted as a real religion.

I cant see all religions eminating from one, as we had no means of travel to many countries until about 300 years ago, or are you saying it cooincidence that we all happen to have similar stereotypes of gods images? Nah.

I dont beleive in one all mighty powerful god type chap (chapette for the girlies), or that something/one controls my fate (Matrix), despite the fact I went to a CofE school that rammed that fictional crap down my neck for a few years. As for god giving us free will, read the bible/karan/spike milligan and say that again, with crap like "Thou will only support meh!! Foresake all other gods or ill smote you till sunday mofo!", so even your religious texts say you cant worship who you want, so thats a contradiction. From Al-Queda point of view its worse as their god says "all non-beleivers are infidels, bomb the bastards!", charming view on life eh.

All religions have their faults, mainly down to a peice of text saying something that others interprit another way, and thats where wars are started.
