Who decides when a resser stops to ress?

The fucking resser thats who.

This is specially for the mouthy ranger ( you know who you are :) ).

Only happens rarely this and always its the same type of person :/

I get "wtf you aint gonna ress me???" or "!!!" if I run past.
"I need ressing NOW", "plz, plz, plz plz plz plz plz plz (repeatedly spammed at me).

I ress anyone in hib that doesn't behave like a total twat so ... maybe 2 I wouldn't out of all of the hib people I've met since the start of open beta. Which I think is reasonable :p

But there's nothing surer to piss me off than someone 'telling' me they are dead (especially if im in a group xp or rvr).

Its not a damn duty its an ability, I've an IQ rated higher than average and understand the difference between stragey and tactis (so yeah I suppose the abbreviated version of this paragraph is FU).

A man on his feet fighting is an asset to the side I'm fighting for, a 6 year old understands this concept btw. I ress based on Mana I have at that moment, Support I have in the near area and sniper/shade activity in the vicinity. I judge the needs of the team i'm in and time i'm going to be away from the group or useless due to no mana. I judge differently depending on whether its an emain run about or a keep attack / defence.

So if I see:
A dead level 20 bard in emain during a battle involving mainly 40+'s where my team needs mezz and heal/ress support.... then the 20 IS going to wait for his ress. I won't have forgotten him and if we start folding anyway I am gonna try to get him out, if we roll the enemy back he will either get ressed by me or a follow up healer.

An orange ranger dead in cruachon whilst i'm travelling alone through an area often frequented by lvl 50 snipers, I AM gonna make a judgement call that lieing down dead near the ranger is NOT gonna help either of us, nor the other 7 people in my team that are waiting on their bard to help at a Crim alb push.

If you EXPECT a ress when it suits you alone you gonna quickly find it doesn't suit me to do it at all.

"moody c**t"
"moron"

These terms meant to endear you to me are they you retard?

YOU decide who to rez that goes for XP and RvR situations, your first duty is to your group(if your in one). It's great if you can help out and many people will return the favour by helping you out in the future if they can but at the end of the day you have to weigh up the risks involved etc.

You cant always rez and most people will accept that :)

(always those that wont though)

I agree, in RvR its a lot different.

as far as my experiences have been, I dont rezz if theres fighting, I dont rezz if im needed urgently somewhere else, but usually if im running past peeps I will try and stop/rezz (usually forcing the group to stop with me)

Really it depends on the situation, for this reason (the rezz nagging) I usually consider people below lvl 30 a hinderence in RvR, even at lvl 30ish I was only useful cause I could rezz :) (and with my healer, the rare times when I got lucky with my mezz)

A gentle suggestion ..... don't come straight to the forum and post when you're mad as hell at someone. :fluffle:

It's very simple really.

A healer/rezzer's first duty is to their group, then to other people. This goes not just for rezzing, but for anything that requires mana. If your group is about to go into combat and need you to heal, sorry but you don't rez someone else. Once the fight is over, then you rez whoever needs it once your group is sorted out.

Its your power...do what you want with it. Don't let anyone tell you who you should or who you shouldn't res. If you get abuse from someone you won't or can't res, put them on ignore. Next time you see them dead, look on your ignore list to see who has dissed you in the past.

Healing classes are just like any other class. Its YOUR character, behave how you like. You have absolutely no obligation to use your power on anyone outside of your group.

From now on, I will always put group first, even if I have to run around and find them. Why? Well, a few nights ago, halfway between the Alb wall and PK, a certain high lvl RVR-leader type person was yelling "HEAL ALL THE DEAD FFS NOT JUST THOSE IN YOUR GROUP" or words to that effect. So .. I came across a certain little lvl 50 bard, and thought I would do the right thing (thinking ressing other ressers first made sense). Use up just about all my mana, only to see said little bard just enjoy lying there, not accepting the res. I ended up dead soon after that, having had to rest to regain the wasted mana.

Sometimes it does get tempting to start a never-res list, but because I play a class that suits my personality, I can't bring myself to ever refuse to res someone.

In response to the topic.

You. But you have to understand that a person does NOT want to lie down and do nothing and will do everything in their power not to do so.

Just ignore ppl if you dont like it, the requests wont stop for a forum thread.

And here for my own rant, ANYONE who asks for mana regen from now on will NOT get it unless i feel it was justified for me to spend half a minute finding you targetting you and casting the spell. As it is now i ALWAYs cast mana regen if someone asks, ALWAYS. I even sit down for mana if it should be so that im all out as i feel obligated to do this since it can be done and is given to me for that purpose.

uhm, it's always sad when it happens, but some people might be afk when you ress them, or sometimes the 'accept' button doesn't work. Noone out there will decline a ress - i don't think so. It's sad for the wasted mana, but can't be avoided really.

A better res? What would have been wrong with accepting the offered res, then having Terminus heal? I fail to see the benefits of refusing a res, and wasting most of a resser's mana. That wasted mana could have been used to res 2-3 other lower levels.

Problem is with druids better res: it takes ages.. so if a druid starts a res and a warden/bard comes along and starts their res they'll be done before the druid..
Actually I believe the druid can still go to the pub and get a few pints before his res is done :)
And better res is not only more health, it's also more mana/end.
