To add to this; I fumbled 3 times in a row today.. on the same mob... how many casters/tanks fumble their main attack... I can't remember last time I fumbled with my thruster..
Tracking would be nice..

The game is what it is. Maybe the new classes will be easy for us to kill... until the first patch after the expansion. ;)

I think i hit the bulls eye this time.

Instead of taking a prime nerfvictim that is far to easy to whine over and farms rp good at the expense of sucky groupabilities, I have chosen a char that is totally gimped when it comes to offensive rvr:
The theurgist.
Its so subtle, yet so powerful.

Though, I have a secret weapon:
210 dd (spirit), 2.8 sec casttime.
ranged 23 sec aoe mez
ranged 15 sec root
10 sec pbt
damagebuff and haste
runspeed

Its not as good as the specialist classes at any of the above, but it can get groups - and add something valuable to the group.

On a sidenote:
I nuke purp trees for 300, 10-50% more than my scout hit yellow con tanks for. And at a smaller casttime.

I feel sorry for you scouts who get all the way to 50 and find out that what you thought was the scout class was really the beta version!

I get the felling that classes bring this upon themselves though:

1. peeps see a class is rocking in RvR

2. 1000 peeps make one (see infiltrators atm)

3. everyone else gets pissed off at being owned every 5 minutes

4. 100000 whine threads later....nerfed class

its not your or anyone elses fault, in the end RvR was never thought out very well by Mythic and this is the result....

Is why I pretty much stopped playing my scout - glad I didn't go all the way to 50. One thing really annoying me however is all the scouts trying to nerf nearsight - one of the main 'attacks' my Cabalist has :mad:

omg i would be very happy if i had those stealth abilities :D

– At 10 spec in stealth archers should receive danger sense which alerts the player when a mob scout has focused on the party. This is currently an assassin subability, but a lesser once compared to the others on their spec line and makes sense for those learning to scout for their parties.
– At 15 spec in stealth archers should receive Farsight 1, see below for two suggested implementations.
– At 20 spec in stealth archers gain a passive ability to determine a target's class in RvR. This could be as simple as the message upon clicking the target reading "You examine Eldritch Whitemane, he is a member of an enemy realm." (Note the addition of the class there.) This would help the scouting role by allowing us to report back appropriate information. It would also allow you to implement the basics of a Disguise ability, where assassins could pick the wrong fake class to be reported as, and then be able to dress up appropriately.
– At 25 spec in stealth archers should receive Farsight 2.
– At 30 spec in stealth archers should be able to determine the number of creatures/characters in a 1000 unit radius of your ground target, plus or minus 10% accuracy.
– At 35 spec in stealth archers should receive Farsight 3.
– At 40 spec in stealth archers can determine the average level of the creatures and characters in the same region as the 30 spec ability.

btw lol at 5 x absorb of a 24 point cost RA Volley.

I am fearing the worst for assasins...SB and infils...I have a feeling the mythic nerf program will be called in soon :(, A little off the sides here, snip there, fraction off here...Wallah (Sp?) one gimped assassin who could not assasinate a torc.

Please mythic leave us alone :p

Wind nukes = ouch!

Wish I played a scout in beta...:D

Sitting people = double damage
Crit shot = 3x damage
No restealth timer
NO FECKIN BLADETURN!

To name a few things which were grossly overpowered :p

There can only be one uber gimp, and that is the HUNTER. Scouts whining about thier class, try playing a hunter. I'm not even going to start on the millions of buggs/problems our class has or how poor we are in every aspect compared to ranger/scout.

On the bright side is that anyone getting killed by a hunter is a piss poor player or extremly unlucky.

So what would it take for you to be happy with a scout? The most damage over time of any class and the best range and stealth? Hmmmmmmm, that wouldnt be overpowered at all.

I never wanted to be the highest damage dealer. Then I would have taken a caster.
What IS a problem is that with stealth useless and me forced into groups, I do not do enough damage fast enuf in comparison with the mentioned classes.
814 points in stealth - wasted as im grouping anyway.

Thus the above quoted statement.

Its good to see the team leader for the scout has really addressed some of the major issues.....

They picked up on how PBT renders and archer pretty useless, which is a good point...

They didnt comment much on camoflage and how see hiden has fecked up rangers.... I think they wont change see hidden and camoflage now, thats gonna be the way it is from now on...

Further improvements will probably consist of increasing archer mellee damage a bit and probably addressing PBT.... They may also lower the cost of some of our RA's....

Still makes me laughs, the major RVR overpowered feature of daoc is AOE mezzing... They have tweaked this with purge abilities and better resistences... but the fact that the AOE mezz class determines the outcome of 8v8 combat would put it first in my list of nerfs... A mezz should last no longer than 15-20 secs imo....

as i understand, mez will have a major nerf: only nominal duration at center, degrading toards the edges of the aoe - just like pbaoe.

purge is a nerf too, but yes cc was overpowered from the start, however it leads to a situation where 1 fg can outdo 2 fg by a skilled cc'er - which i find ok.
The alternative is that zerg rules everything.

still, what made archers look ridiculously overpowered before SH were the buffbotusers - I have rarely oneshot a level 50 caster, not even a lurik (Tylar).
by oneshot i actually mean 2-shot - had to take down bt first.

Actually, currently you have to zerg otherwise 1fg will kill you no matter what your tactics...

one spell should not rule the game.
CC has it's place, it's actually quite cool in the battlegrounds - when it lasts 20 seconds.

When it nullifys an entire army for a minute whilst you kill them one by one ... that's no longer fun.

And heaven forbid you have to group - gee, when my mercenary or wizard can run around the frontier completely unscathed! oh wait...

I get the feeling Jiggs may be right about assassins... the nerf bat is hanging above their heads - if only because they can kill pure tanks even without a PA ;)

Though thinking about it, what makes assassins powerful is getting rank 3L3 and buying ignore pain. Silly ability. Without that (and just having obscene evade :)) it might not be so horrible...

Should start a campaign to make Ignore Pain only a 50% heal :) and make first aid interruptable ;) (but not burned if it's interrupted)
