How are you fairing IT support wise over the festive season teeds? I wormed my way out of this year, I did a large on-call stint over the past few weeks, a few sleepless nights along with it but i'm clear for large amounts of mulled wine and pornog... strictly come dancing.

heh I dunno as I've not been back to work at the time of me replying this I'm going off to show them how much of a tanned god I am atm in a minute though. Because I've been away the boss will prolly have me on call right through xmas and newyears just to punish me for even thinking about a break, let alone fleeing to the other side of the world for 8 weeks

Hah, I don't miss retail in the slightest. This'll be my first Christmas in 6 or 7 that I'm actually spending with family.

Nightclubs are a bastard to work in on Bank Holidays generally - everyone else is out to have fun and we have to provide the fun. It always used to infuriate me on a BH Sunday when the DJ would say "shout if you haven't got to go to work tomorrow!" and we invariably did, as the club full of customers put their hands in the air and shouted.

i worked until 8pm on xmas eve a couple of years back, total waste of time and ruined xmas for me a bit. had boxing day off at least.

xmas last year was ace. finished college on the 21st, went back on the 3rd. pretty much spent the whole time watching the ashes all night and playing wow. muchos fun.

I have to work christmas OR new year every year, unfortunately sick kids don;t stop being ill over the festive period so we still have to be there to look after them. BUT, due to some sneaky resignation and new job getting, I've managed to wangle this christmas and new year off as annual leave between jobs....AND i'm going to spend it with my mum AND my dad, which will be the first time in 26 years since they divorced, AND I get to spend all of it with Vae....looking like its gonna be a good 'un!

When that old man with the beard sneaks in to my house and empties his sack on my carpet, hopefully (apart from the stains) i'll be getting a nice stylus kit for my PC to get some artwork done.
