which q3 patch plz

Hi there

can someone tell me what version of quake 3 u need for the BW servers, whether its the 127 patch or what ?

cos i keep getting a message saying wrong protocol

You will need at least the last offical release which was 1.27g. However, there is another beta release out called 1.27h and that can connect to BW servers as well. Any version less than 1.27 will not connect.

er Flametop I think that is true for all servers except the Q3f and WFA servers (which had to be changed back to 1.17)??

Always best to have 2 or 3 versions of games installed. Personally I only have 4 Q3 installs but I have 11 different UT ones

It saves so much hassle if you have the disk space.

Yeah

Disk space never seems to be an issue any more - god I remember my first 'puters 40mb monster - god how awful whenever you wanted to play a game you had to uninstall something else first - ooh all those floppies.

Sorry, I take questions asking for 'Quake 3' to mean the vanilla, out-of-the-box game. Not any heavy mods like RA3, WFA or Q3:My Little Pony
