As a cabalist we have different pets to choose from. Amber pet is considered tank pet, but it buffs itself with a grey con buff. Other pets don't have this grey con buff and thus gain more benefit of my 50 enhance bot. So which pet can take the most beating? The amberpet or ........

ruby: castable DD and a fairly strong proc(which never goes off

sapphire: Lifetap, best tankpet against orangecon and below imo
emerald: desease and a dot, most absorb

Be concerned with the abilities, not the buff.
All pets will get boosted loads by a BB.
Amber pet stuns, this is good for solo play as you can kite, also its alright in groups, dump it on caster etc.
Saphire lifetaps, it has the highest pure taking DPS, but lifetap wont save it VS pbaoe.
Ruby is ok, its not great, i prefer ammy or emerald, you might like it, personally i think it stinks.
Emerald is nice, it dots, it procs a 1 min disease, the dot interupts every tick. Its nice, its probably best for groups, (or if more than 1 cabby, use a mixture or em and amb) however its not quite so great for soloing as the disease takes longer for you to lose your attacker than an insta-stun.
Jade is shit, it has dammage shield, so it has like 0.001 of the utility the other pets (amber, emmy, saphire) have. dont use it!

Its also worth noting that the Amber HP buff scales up as you level.. this has been shown in tests.. just dont ask me where cos i cant find it atm.
Personally for RvR i use either Emerald or Amber.. the dot interrupt is uber.. i hope they never fix it... its great seeing casters panic and mash MoC... the amber pet contrary to popular belief just doesnt chain stun as much as id like.. maybe 2-3 times in a quick encounter... but usually ends up next to me on the floor when met with any half-witted caster or tank... Sapphire is great for PvE and can handle reds for me with little hassle.. Jade is a sack of sheeeite.. only ever use it if i need to get aggro fast for kiting mobs.. seeing the dmg sheild will take aggro as the mob comes at you.. even without your pet hitting it.. Ruby.. oh jees i wish it was half the caster the Chanter pet is.. casts Waaaaaay to slow.. resists a lot too.. or maybe i get unlucky with resists...

Ambie stun procs often and it goes off both in melee and ranged. Really nasty against small non-caster groups, stealthers, etc.
Ruby, cast ranged DD and proc in melee. Casting speed is slow but it helps in some situations (keep takes, milegates, etc). This pet was really useful til Mythic fixed the LoS thingy
Saphire is the king of PvE, you can chain yellow/oj mobs 24/7 with it. It hits hard and it procs LT.
Emerald. Nasty disease and dot that goes off almost always. Best choice for RvR imo. Send it to the nearest enemy healer and have fun.
Jade pet can be removed from the game, we won't notice it anyway.
As someone said before, i'd trade Ruby for chanter's pet anytime. Oh, and we want intercepting pets too like the sm one

I always pick amber in rvr, the stun >>> any sb/ns that tries to kill me.
But i asked this question coz i intend on farming lvl 75+ mobs. I seen someone kill runihura with sapphire i think, but tbh runihura is a wussie. Once we get near lvl 80 mobs, which pet would fully buffed be the best choice?

I used the amber pet , but bot with 31 rejuv couldn't keep up with the healing (532 heals) , i had to get help from another bot (with 260 heals)..
But i'll try the emmy once as it seemed to worked for others in Sidi
