hi dudes, im planning on switching banks from HSBC to someone good, just to get my cash payed into, not really bothered about the details just wanna know which banks give u free cash for switching a/cs to them, i remember a time when it seemd every banks adverts were aimed at bribing ppl away from their current bank, anyone had pleasent experiances with switching banks and getting a wad of cash for doing so? :)

i use Natwest, but thats cuz they got a branch at my uni.
but they also had TSB and they were *****, really hard to get student card, like they wanted loads and loads of info and proof and shit. NatWest were alot easier and seemed nicer in general.

www.smile.co.uk has a nice interest rate, although you have to put money in your account by post/direct transfer, once its there its great !

im with HSBC for my fluid cash, and have a ISA with Nationwide for the stuff im putting away.
Used to be with barclays but they were useless and the cash machines never worked at the branch, Natwest were ok, Abbey national are really really bad by what my m8s say but never tried them myself
