Where to get Euro version to USA?

Hi guys.

Posted in the main general, but thought many of you who know me may just come here and skip that altogether.

I cant seem to find a place to buy the Euro version of DAoC and have it shipped to the USA. amazon.uk says they cannot ship it to the US =(.

Any help?

For some reason, everytime I tried to get around in the UK to do searches, it kept taking me to US sites. Just goes to show you that they try and corral us like sheep, I suppose.

Yes, Trianna and I are planning on coming back to Excalibur and playing our original characters (Warden and Druid, respectively).

The email I got from the game company says 4 weeks to deliver the game =(.

I have been checking in on the game development, and posting occasional suggestions on various forums, and I am pleased by the direction/evolution of the game (mostly).

We want you all to know that the reason we are choosing the Euro servers is the high quality and friendliness of persons that play the game.

That, and when we get into arguments, we find your accents/slang quaint ;)

Well as far as i am concerned the vast majority of people on Excal/Hibernia are high quality and friendly.

Can't comment on Mid and Alb, but you two seem to think otherwise :)

From my experience, most people in midgard are resonable and friendly also. Of course there are some "bad apples" but those are everywhere.. I also think that alot of the few arguments I see here is not due to someone being a jerk, but just healthy difference of opinions and sometimes misunderstandings. I think I've yet to meet someone whos just being a real jerk. Maybe I'm lucky, maybe it has to do with the way I approach people..I don't know, but its the truth.

There are some "rude" behavour from time to time, but I think some of this also comes from misunderstandings / lack of english skills.

Only nasty behavour I've seen has been to do with powerstruggle between "RvR l33t d00ds Nolby Pride" and other more.. Well... Social guilds. That being said, that was back in the early days of Excali/Mid.. NP strikes me as much more friendly and less elitist now than before.

I think it all has to do with what kind of people you assosiate yourself with, and how you chose to act towards others. Being friendly to others gives people a friendly attitude towards you.

Sure there's more good people than bad, but since we've lots more population than in beta, the bad ones stand out better because of their higher volume :(

LOL they are faaaaaar different from europe peeps. I played pretty much on US both normal server and PvP server. And I must say OMG it's many uber f00ked crazy asshole maniacs in US (not an offend to all US peeps, just some of em) :m00: It's all about the "ME" "ME" and "ME" all the time. to GIVE away an item for FREE!!? oh no, gotta get as many copper pieces as possible for anything..sigh.

Ah well you more than welcome to excal/hib, lotsa nice peeps there :clap:

I've been playing EXC/ALB pretty much since it went live and the vast majority of people that I've played with are ok. (and the ones Ive chosen as pals are ace).

I think most of the crappy posts you see on this board have been made by people fresh from a tangle with a pre-adolescent l33t gamer, something that probably happens to anyone who plays these silly games (silly but fun i mean ;))

In the main I think that when you gather up a few thousand people of various ages and social abilities you are bound to see friction..

in no other place will an age 30+ professional have level playing field dealings with a 12 year old schoolkid. (unless he coaches the school soccer team in his spare time.. and I suppose most of the 12 year olds playing this game arnt playing soccer.. oh well)

Its easy to forget all that though.

Anyway you probably know all this, so Ill just welcome you to the joys of the european servers.. Enjoy your stay

Well, considering that I have played EverQuest for about 3 yrs, I think it is safe to agree with your observations/conclusions.

Something I will tend to do is to gather a few pals to disrupt disruptors. This game is a lot different than EQ in many ways, one major being that peeps of disparate levels tend not to have much interaction, so you dont have too long of a problem ususally.

Too bad that DAoC doesn't have something like the Guide program though...really keeps a handle on harassment issues.
