I connected to several DM and CtC servers to find them either empty or password protected...where the hell do you guys play?

get yourself a copy of All Seeing Eye from http://www.udpsoft.com/eye/. this lists over 1000 quake 2 servers, you should be able to find some busy ones on there.

i run quake2 servers at another GSP and we usually have about 100+ quake2 players on at any point in time during the evenings, so there is still a fair few quake2 players out there.

according to the clq it's about the same as bw's http://www.theclq.com/s11.asp

whatever, it's still tonnes busier than the old non weap stay srever, which only racked up about 20-30,000 playing hours over a two week period.
