where r the tanks ? !!!

c'mon i have seen that tanks r getting die in game ?
i know that caster grps r one of the best at this time .
But that doesnt mean that u have to reroll ? :p

why some peeps dont make a grp like :
1.pala
2.merc
3.merc
4.reaver
5.sorc
6.minstrel
7.cleric
8.cleric

It will maybe dont kill that fast as caster grp ...
But i think a high rr grp with good players
can face a 2 fg or sthing...
Tanks can hold even on 30 minutes continously battle...
where that is something that casters cant do it! ;p
When a battle this days is on the end...
Another grp through chat grp or as chat will hear it and will attack ..
A tank grp can keep killing .. where a caster grp cant..
thats a reason for tank grps can stay alive .. and rvr a bit ? ;p
i may be wrong i may be right , but albions shouldnt think about the
reasons i told .. or someother reasons and find a way to rvr ?
I hate seeeing peeps rerolling to their ex- good charas just cause
something else became fotm ...

The tanks have to get high RR first, and as the FOTM high RP earning groups will only take x and y classes, its pretty tough to earn those RPs as a tank without a lot of perserverance and the sacrifice of a lot of fun.

I ran for an afternoon in an all Pally (ok and 1 armsman) group once, which was a lot of fun. Heck we even earned a fair few RPs as well.

But sadly those times seem to be past.

This why there no more tank groups,i can put up scenario against mids aswell if you want as this mainly against hibs.

The games come full circle back to the old days of cannon fodder tanks and only casters/range being effective. It will be another year now before it gets fixed if ever.

ppl like you are the reason tank grp's arent around, too dam negative imo.
do you play becos you love your class or do you only play only to be fotm?
playing a class you really love with success is dam more satisfying than rerolling to the latest fotm just becos you cant handle defeat.

gogo albs, i've met some dam hard alb tank grp's wich played very well, this was after ToA.
you got good classes, make the groups work! :)

if i played alb i would play Reaver, Merc or Friar (and defo Infil :p)

Some play to be fotm nowdays.. so they make a H/O therug or sorc or wiz. :eek7:

I'm playing my pala alot, but not in rvr... i made a wiz for that purpose, cause i simply got bored in rvr with a pala, eventhough i love playing pala.
I don't reroll my chars, just put them on standby once in a while.

Sorry to disapoint you, I ahve been able to kill people alone in fg fights a few times. Just interrupting half group with my pbaoe chants and someone in my group interrupt rest and it is easy to kill with slam & 4-5levis.

Either way, thought reaver was not mainly for damage (which can be done if using your styles well) but the utility it has to offer with interrupts, debuffs, etc.

Oh, and tank groups suck cause of grappls, BG, zephyr. At least reaver is the only tank that can interrupt even when grappled (call me some stupid people thinking they can cast right next to a grappled reaver, yes they exist!)! :D

Because Banelord Mercs can't, of course? ;)

Other classes may have a more limited selection of interrupts, but hopefully you only need to keep them interrupted long enough to hit your 'I'm grappled, my target is a caster - kill the bugger!' macro...

And..even your group setup does not include Armsman...the 1st original TANK. The other classes ie, pally, merc and reaver are not dieing out as much as armsmen. They don't need as much love as armsmen. And, even by your group standard are not as useful as the others....So, you ask why tanks are dieing ingame...cos of the "forget armsmen" attitude that peeps have. And i dont care about the "armsmen bring nothing to a group". A while ago, that is what people said about scouts...wait until NF and you will not find a solo scout, everybody will be spamming them with invites.

Giv armsmen some well needed loving, so we can hold our own with the others. My personal favourite....Self end regen...Friars get it....and it will make hell of a lot of difference to us. Would make our ML abilities better...as in FF...use it once...end gone, biggest sack of crap out there.

Grapple is very annoying and the most unfair think atm in game.Banelord mercs are best interupters tbh but not making dmg when grappled,still think that a merc banelord is must for a grp and still think that every caster grp can easy get wiped to a train assist of savages(or good heavy tank) immune to grapple.The true is that, yer you cannot run tank grp it will not go well , every savant-brehon hib getting protect from a bger who chains you grapple,and two mercs or whatever grappled is end, no dmg you are dead its so easy.However if these peeps enjoying their chars and put only grapple at 1st qb(8times for not missing it) yeh let them play.

banelord reavers are best interrupters as a tank.

Ofc you can, if you have BL abilities up. Wanna compare timers of BL abilities with reaver pbaoe chants? And if reaver wasn't best at interrupting it wouldn't be nerfed at 1.72... Problem is that no one ever invites reaver to group basically...

tendrils at bl have good timer(10s) recast tbh.
