Over the last few days i have been trying to get some af102 scale boots, the only things holding me back from my new SC template. I have been pm'ing legendary armorours asking if they have any boots and its always the same reply, "sorry no scale in stock" whats happened to them all? Have all the low cost whiners scared them all away?

Well at last i have got some.
But crafters, your views would be nice, is the market driving you away? Do you find people expect too much? How much profit is there to be made in a craft?

No, there is no profit in crafting.

All my 99% stock was leftovers from making my MP set, which cost me around 10p. But it all has my name on it so it was worth it. I sold a lot to guild @ cost price + 10%. To non guild i sold @ cost + 100%. Still had a lot of people grumble about prices.

What many fail to realise is the 1 in 6 99% average is an average. And often a 99% piece can take 20+ attempts. MP is even worse, 60+ is not unusual.

Yup. Too boring, too many "customers" taking the piss (trying to dictate how price should be etc), and the only profit in crafting these days comes from sale of leftover 99% items from a mp order - aka no profit, unless you happen to craft scale.

When u hit LGm (mundane crafter) u realize profit is on trinket not on crafting..... but u can craft all your bg 99% sets then ^^.

Most Acers i know only make stuff now for friends or guildies, simply coz of the hassle it can cause.

Prime example being a certain ACer i know recieving an order for MP scale hauberk, the ACer quoted a price and demanded the cash before he would make it, he grudgingly agreed on a half-price deposit while the buyer got the rest of the cash together. When it was made the recipient refused to pay the agreed price offering a price a lot lower than was agreed in the trade window.

End result, no sale plus a lot of stress for both parties.

Not what i call fun.

i told them so often:

crafter skill = speed of making

chance to get a MP is always the same - regardless of skill :(
