I used to have a few sets, many years back. Only got oneleft now (Tolkien set) and now that I have my own place again I was thinking of getting more books. All the usual places seem to just sell standard paperback and hardback.

Anyone got any ideas where I might find bound sets of decent books?

You'll find the odd special edition released from publishers but bound books for your "mass market" stuff isn't really done at the mo. You'll find lots of stuff second hand , antique book stores and places like abe books .. but if your talking bounf books for your everyday book not gonna happen. Best bet if thats what your lookign for is to email the publisher or imprint direct oO

Depends what you mean exactly, but the Folio Society (I seem to recall it being called) is a club where you can buy vintage-style bound hardbacks of classic works of literature. If I can find a link to anything useful, I'll post some more information.

The annoying thing I think the Folio society do though is put a small image of their emblem on teh spine :( Least thats what I recall from one of their leaflets).

They're like Brittanic music society etc whereby you get some cheap when you join and then have to buy 4 at full price or so.

I think my surving and previous ones all came from a mail order book club type thing. Not one I was a member of, I had another source ;)

Loads of stuff on Ebay mate. Check out your local flea markets as well.

What type of books are you after? My dad runs a jumble sale, and quite often they get given old bound books in.

You barely notice the Folio signature on the books tbh. I have around £5000 worth of folio books and they make my book shelf look f'kin sweet! :)

...although I could do with a better book shelf...bigger...waaaay bigger. :|
