Where are the light eldritches?

I feel this kinda wierd....it's tons of void elds and many mana elds, but I can't say I have seen much light elds. I can't see why, cause imo light is the the best spec at least for RvR. Ok you voids say void is best in RvR...but why is that?? The bolts do nice damage, but can be blocked and missed. And the aoe isn't very good either with short range. Mana is good for xp gorups with pbaoe, and also nice around keep doors. BUT!! light elds got AOE mez, with very nice range, witch is a must in RvR, they also got better DD than both mana and void. And they got nearsight witch is incredable good vs rangers and other mages. The nearsight has 2300 range witch is much longer than all bolts and bows, and at lvl 50 it decrease the range of target by 75%!!! and last for 2 min. I tried it out in BG with my lvl 20 light eldr, and the poor ranger had to run away mwwohahah. So I really recomend some more to go for light instead of void/mana. We need aoe mezzes out there in the fontier.

Machi´s the only light spec eldrith lvl 50 afaik, they r damn hard to lvl till 50 that´s why, they´ve got no AEs, plain and simple.

Another reason is possibly that most mana and void elds spec light as their secondary. So they get a decent ae mezz (not as long as fully specced) and a decent range debuff. Ok so they still miss out on the dds but void have their bolts (which don't miss that often btw, just that annoying shield thing blockin em) and mana eld still have their pbaoe. So basically almost every eld can use the utility light spells and the only thing we miss out on are the dd's. But personally i gladly give up the dd's for the abililty to snipe my bolts at enemy casters during keep raids.

People forget elds have baseline bolts, with +void items and realm ranks my bolts can still 1 shot casters (altho I don't use them much, dd's are reliable every time)

As someone who's played void, mana and light eld i'd have to agree light is best for rvr. The mezz you with another spec has such short duration as to be virtually usless and you make the target unmezzable by someone with better mezz i.e. bard.


I think when the respec comes we may see more light elds.

light eld is the best for rvr,but it's too hard to lvl a light eld to lv 50.mach is the only lv50 light eld,but if i'm not wrong ,he became lv50 as a mana eld

Yeah it´s true, he was a mana eldritch... I myself don´t plan go light that much anymore, mana got strong luvs, and with RAs and MoC it´s said that mana eldritch can reach similar cast time than mana chanters pbaoeing, and our realm needs pbaoers.

Beside, a 1500 range energy based DD + snare with a base DD dmg isn´t that bad, with few resistance it´ll be actually quite reliable... Insta AE str/con debuff + AE disease 400 radius... well it might be interesting, btw with 3 pbaoers or 4, and a couple more tanks, lordroom´s untakeble, try it (if we have only that number of pbaoers lvl 50 in a lordroom...)

Light´s V good 4 single kill... I´d say it´s god like, though sorc 45 body too got that much dmg potency, but it´s slower cast time if I´m rite.
