When are Barrysworld going to update their servers to the 1.29 code? Almost everyone else has, I miss the low pings - at least put some of the servers onto 1.29, please?

ah, here's me thinking that 1.27 was a beta and that 1.29 was an improvement over it - ah well I stand corrected

amazing innit? what i'd like to know is, does the 1.29 version effect ctf games? bw ctf for me are THE servers for q3,however for ffa?well i've never found a full server....

RE ctf games with the 1.29 point release - I've had no problems with any games using 1.29 - Incl: Rocket Arena 3, Urban terror, OSP, Team Arena and all the basic Quake 3 game types - plus you get the promaps, new rocket, rail and plasma effects - the netcode is improved, so even if you have a high ping the game is much fairer.

yes but what i mean is, if i have the 1.29 patch will i be able to play on bw ctf servers?

No, not until they update their servers to 1.29 - like most people seem to have done already, just update anyway - my only regret about updating is losing all the barrysworld community, but I hope to see them again once the admin take their heads out of the sand.

You could always load Q3A into another folder (route directory) and update that to 1.29.
You can have seperate icons on your desktop for each version.
