whats wrong with prydwen ?

Seems like most Prydween Albs are either high lvl (thats 35+) or their alts
Also its a common thing to join a low lvl grp and meet in there Jadow's alt Djinn's alt or Geforce's alt and most others known in Pryd
What on earth is wrong at Prydwen ? Is is becoming an alternative server or what ?! ...

Interesting post when you have two alt's of your own

I regularly wander Salisbury Plains to rez the little grey fellas, and pass on advice and/or tips as needed (or wanted!) -- and I'd say that there IS a lot of new blood out there. You do come across people who have higher level alts, but its by no means the norm.

Its an interesting point. I was amazed to congratulate a mid on reaching there 50 when they proceeded to login their level 42 alt!
I then found out that another player was with there level 45 shammie who is a 3rd char after a level 50 skald or thane and level 48 runie!
I suddenly realised that a lot of people I was levelling with were levelling there 2nd or 3rd chars from 40-50!

Thats a lot of dedicated and skilled gameplaying (9 days /played on a lvl 45 is efficient)

Don't remember the exact /played time for my character (level 48.6 Paladin), but its something like 32 days +. Of course this is my first character, and I've not played a game like this before, so I guess that handicapped my progress somewhat.

It's interesting that a lot of the characters Turamber was in his 30's with are a similar level now -- but there are a number of SoTL alt's which have appeared out of nowhere and are around the same level. Which once again reinforces the view that having levelled another character before you know what to do the next time.

Saying that I've been in the company of quickly levelled characters, their players didn't know where Dartmoor was (?!) or, in another case, that there is an AoE version of smite ... so when that person pulled in the Barrows ---> my goodness what a lot of nasties

Nothing wrong with alt's, but players who want to fast track their characters progress beware -- you may not learn how to play your character properly, and that would be a shame. (He says jealously )

I think 16 playing days is nice to reach level 40, experienced player can do it a bit faster and when u start with an experienced group and play together 10 days is possible. When i started on Excalibur/Midgard a week after the servers were opened some ppl were allready level 35, but they were experienced because they have played on the US servers before the Euro servers opened.

Offcourse a lot is depending on the class you play, friends you have to play with, experience and so on, my alt (Scout) is now level 21 and i dont have grouped with him so far so 16 days to reach level 40 is impossible for him...

People are forver asking me who my main is and I'm level 41... I have to tell them that this is my main. Not all of sotl are lvl 50 with lvl 40+ alts you know...

I guess you're talking about Paldius and his 'alts' in that skald/RM/Sham post. Well Rosery (the shaman) recieved some nice powerlevelling from his other chars as she is on a separate account so he can play 2 chars at the same time.

I think Turamber has a point about leveling too fast, manys the time I've grouped with people like that, and ended up sniffing the floor, but maybe thats due to me thinking I'm still wearing lots of plate armour instead of say...cloth

Yep theres lots of alt, that because your alowed 4 players per server, if you get a little bored, just start a alt, nice leveling 10 times a day and not 1 level every 10 days . Alts are also good for helping new players get use to the game.
