What's up with CS these days?

It seems that every game I join at the moment is hopelessly one sided. Team scores of 20-2 and the like. Apart from anything else using auto-select usually puts me on the losing team, and I am not a good enough player to turn these games around. Once a team is getting constantly slaughtered all teamplay goes out of the window, everyone runs around like headless chickens, or spawn camps, just making it even easier for the better team.

As far as I am concerned this is boring if I am on the winning team, and frustrating if I am on the losing one.

CS is always best when played between teams that are broadly similar in ability, or the likes of Assault when the CT team has the better players to allow for the bias in gameplay.

Any thoughts? Or am I just unlucky and picked duff games?

Im like that, if im on the winning team (Maybe Top Scorer) when i die, i will go onto the losing team to try and help, usually thats where my Death Score goes thru the Roof heh, because the winning team has found a tactic that works.. unlike the losing team, who as you say "Run round like headless chickens", so its very hard to win

I guess your losing sides also don't take kindly to when you try and adise them on how to perhaps do a bit better / let alone win...?

Anyway, yeah CS is a bit one sided imo lately.

It is one sided at the mo, once or twice it is because I was playing naked twister with Dolls, but the other times it does seem impossible to do owt right if you are on the losing team.

I also agree with Scooby's thread about cheating, although you need to watch the suspected players very closely, because 9 times out of 10 they are just good/better, I bet the majority of new people to CS accuse Jobbie or think he's cheating.
