What's the best driving game?

Well? Whaddya reckon?

I've played Midtown Madness 1 and 2 to death and now I fancy a good rally or touring game (not F1 ffs) but which is the best, nowadays? Is it still Colin McRae 2 or am I well out of date?

My ForceFeedback wheel is just gathering dust and dammit! I need to burn some rubber again.

Although the graphics are shit, i LOVE playing Grand Theft Auto - that game kicks ass. Just drive around splatting people, nicking cars and smashing up vehicles.

Heh heh. Yeah. I love that game. GTA2 just didn't have the same level of fun. Graphics were better but you couldn't throw the cars around like you could in the original.

At times i didnt actually care about completing the game. I just tried to splat as many pedestrians as possible in this back area where they all walked! Either that or just stealing cars and selling them to the cranes

I am quite partial to eRacer, it's more of an arcade racer but at least it's got a relatively decent on-line game

I've borrowed CMR2 off a work chum and it' f'kin great! Exactly what I was looking for.

Another fella I know recommended GP Legends but I dunno... F1's not my cuppa tea, really.

Nascar 4, there can be no other, best driving game this year by far. Colin mac 2 is a laugh though when your up for the single player only games.
Going back a few years now, the only arcade racer iv'e ever rated is daytona usa by sega. Nothing in the arcades since has beat that masterpeice.

Btw your right about 'eracer' laugh init, apart from the totally unfair computer cars

The N64 version was bollox though.

Others? Well, I have just bought a steering wheel for my DC and have been trying out several games. Daytona 2001 plays really well. Shame bought the lack of online support.
