What's quickcast? And how do I specialise?

Okay sorry for the noob questions but I've honestly been googling etc. and can't find the answers.

What is quickcast? I've tried using it but it doesn't seem to make much difference.

Also I'm now a lvl 5 eldritch and want to specialise in mana. Do I have any points to spend? I think it says i have 14 specialisation points but I don't know how to spend them.

Bit stuck here, any help would be appreciated, even if it's a "F*ck off and read this [insert link] guide"

Cheers

quickcast mean that you can cast a spell even if you are being interrupted (in melee range)

for speccing, go c the trainer in Tir Na Nog, right click him choose your chosen line and press "train" in the bottom of the popup

To spend your spec points go to your class trainer (eldritch trainer for you, there are loads about) and you spend them there. When you right click on the trainer to speak to them a box should pop up, the top half will have light, mana and void written in it. Highlight mana then click on the button just below it. (says train or something on it, can't remember off the top of my head).
You will then spend 2 of your spec points to raise mana to 2, click again and you will spend 3 spec points to raise mana to 3...etc.

And quickcast, if you click it before casting a spell it halfs the cast speed (but can't take cast speed below 2 secs, which means if spell was faster than 2 seconds it will actually take longer to cast when quickcasted) and makes it virtually uninteruptible. I.e. main pve use for it is to cast on a mob that is hitting you.

Hope that helps. :)

/edit nerf Tuathra posting as i was typing :p
