From the BBC:Counterstrike city planned
The hugely popular online game Counterstrike is getting its own online city where players can mingle, chat and meet before heading off to kill each other.
Developed by one of the people behind the Counter-Server site the online 3D metropolis, dubbed DustCity, looks similar to a Counterstrike game map and eventually aims to replace text-based discussion forums.
DustCity's creator claims that, once finished, the online environment will be a working city and is encouraging Counterstrike clans (teams) to buy up or rent building space in the new world.
Clans will even be able to play their own music files within their team base, provided they keep the volume down or annoy the neighbours.
