I get this feeling that archers will be pretty popular in all realms, after 1.62 goes live...

i would say scouts .... with the new see hidden nerf combined with volley and rapid fire, lots of ppl will want to play scouts again

As said, merc can already be considered being fotm (*sigh*, I remember when I created an merc to be unique), and to be honest the changes for the merc in 1.62 aren't enough to boost the popularity of the class all that much...

Archers get some impressive loving in the next two patches - the nerf to See Hidden improving their chances without Camou plus the incredible rapid shot and the bubble bursting - even before this volley was a nice RA - now its pretty damn nice!

Wizards will prob get popular for the Volcanic Pillar RA = I win button :) - Bolt range insta for very nice damage over the largest area of effect in the game to my knowledge...

Bonedancers will continue as FOTM in Mid - they get increased lifetap damage - Strangely Savages are not a FOTM class at the moment - I only know one who does random pickup group RvR on Prydwen - most people reckon you need a bot to level one which probably deters casual players.

Hib - despite a few minor changes Enchanters will still be FOTM kings here :)

Unfortunatly Reaver's are starting to become FoTM now i think, the amount of tells i get ask'ing for spec's is increasing. I still bet half of albion would be clueless as to what a Reaver can do, even if there number's increased 10 fold.

I don't think Reavers or savages will ever become a true fotm. Sure alot might try them out but I don't think many will persevere. This is reflected in the US who have has SI for almost 3 months longer than us and these classes still have very low populations.

FOTM players look for the easy option, and neither Reavers or Savages are that. I know alot of players who started a Reaver because they wanted to pwn with Levi and then gave up when they found out that being a reactionary/positional fighter ain't that easy. Same with h2h savage. 2H Savage might be more of a candidate with provoke4tehwin, but they are still a bitch to level compared to other classes.

Elf blademasters for Hib :p

Not really though, Celt Nightshades WOULD have been fotm if they'd made it in however.

I fancied a 2 hander so started a Warrior and a Savage to see which one I liked - fully buffed to cap the savage is about equal to the unbuffed warrior - gl trying to level one of those without a bot - I think I'd rather have my fingernails pulled out with rusty pliers...

The way I hear from the US servers is you go from one fight where pet blocks nearly everything to the pet standing around looking sheepish while you get 3 shotted in the next combat.

SM's get this in return for having no ranged attack pet - we shall see whether thats a fair trade I guess...

FOTM = Flavour of the month

A class that suddenly sees a huge increase in population because it's considered 'über', often due to class specific changes or RAs...

FOTM - Flavour of the month - i.e. a class thats usually just had some great new abilities added by Mythic that make it very attractive to people considering a new char - its also used as an insult to imply the person has no skill and just moves from one FOTM char to another :)

This is true! How do you think I managed to learn French ;)

Oh and by the way what does QQ mean? I asked on some other thread and then forgot which one ;)

Anyway on-topic I don't think 1.62 will change FOTMs much but those archer changes sound a bit scary for my poor wittle runie - who is about to lose his pbt when I respec him to FOTM darkcarver until they fix resists.

the circular part representing the eyes, and the "tail" or whatever you want to call it being the tears streaming down..
