What staff for my friar?

I've just hit 32 and my level 30 epic quest staff the Haze is already blue to me . I don't get a new one from my epic till level 40, and the only other one i have is a maligned avernal quarterstaff which although has nice dmg and stats is too slow when coupled with the bad quality. Searching on camelot warcry for staffs between level 30 and 50 only pulled up 6 items of which 1 was level 50 and 2 were from the epic. The other 3 are worse than my current one. Is that database complete or am i destined to be using this same weapon till 40?

Get a crafted one... see if you can get one around 98-99% qua.

Should be better than the 30 epic one..
Also try seach at http://camelot.allakhazam.com/ they have a better database over items.

Thanks for link, I like the look of the Gnarled Witherwood Staff:

DPS: 16.20
Delay: 4.00
Magical Bonuses:

Rejuvenation: +2 pts
Enhancement: +2 pts
Staff: 2 pts
Parry: +2 pts

everything else is either way too high or not got enough damage but i think this one may be a tad too high just yet.

What sort of stats can i expect from a crafted one, and what sort of price do they cost? Is it fletchers who make them?

Um you do realise 16.2 dps is level 50 as well?

Oh well there should be lots of these around unless everyone's salvaged all the ones they get from Witherwoode camping

Said on the database it was ok for level 42, guess there's not any i can get that are better unless i buy crafted then . Is there anyway to get stat improvements on crafted items?

Find a fletcher, get yourself a good staff crafted, enchant it - enjoy. Mathal may be able to help you out. You cap damage at level * 0.3 + 1.2 dps, using stuff with significantly higher dps is useless. You will miss lots and the staff will degrade fast.

And a crafted weapon always outclasses any dropped stuff, even if the dropped stuff has stat-bonus on it. Just think of the usual poo quality of 89% for most drops, which in fact costs you 11% of your damage, whereas you can easily get a crafted weapon with 97%+ quality at reasonable cost.

Try a /who fletcher to find people able to make it. No idea on price though I'm afraid, I only make real weapons

Speak to Lessa ( alt is Twitty ) in game, she will set you up with whatever you need in crafted staves.

I'm trying to find an online staff crafting list like my tailoring one which lists all stats so i can pick the exact one i want. Any one got a link?

strange at 35 mine is still yellow con and with over 12 other so-called higher level staves in the vault still wins the day.
Other staves include the one you are talking - gnarled witherwood, the 40 epic ( from a mate ) various dartmoor and d/falls staves too.

HAze benefits at being at or near your damage cap - having a speed of 3 and also being 100% quality - have repaired mine twice so far and still holding the 100% level.

And any stick that can bang a purple troll in RvR for 50 damage is worth having - style style style and at speed 3 with friar self haste on .......

You can put +6 piety,staff,enh,rejuv with it

Haze is still yellow at 35 though my player crafted staff (limited edition Desdecado special now has a higher DPS I still use Haze for the +4 staff. Pretty sure its gonna turn blue next level though as I think its DPS is now capped.

The emerald staff is not too bad and will easily take you to level 40. At least if you group a lot.
The die-hard soloer might want to get a crafted.
