What should i expect from NTL 600k BB?

Right i just found out today that i was on 150k BB which disheartened me a slight bit but ive near convinced my mum (Yes i still sponge from my parents) to upgrade to 600k BB, what d/l, u/l speeds should i expect to see, atm i see about 18k/s d/l max and roughly 8k/s max u/l.

nthell 600k = 512 same as adsl etc etc

300k = 256

150k = 128

They call it the extra as they include the overheads in the total.

Anyway you can expect theoretially around 60 kb/s download and i think 16 odd upload. I think with cable you get 128 upload with the 600 and 256 upload with the 1 meg versions.
