I bought this game a little while ago, and love it... any other IWD2 players out there?

It seems to be a hell of a lot harder than the earlier Baldurs Gate titles... but maybe that's because it's been a while since I played them.

Honestly, I'll never get sick of this genre... though it's begging for an engine upgrade now.

Gurk. I considered buying this, but really, I never got round to finishing the original Icewind Dale. The uninteresting story, with basically no character development whatsoever, turned me off totally. I'm sure it's harder, but that wouldn't be a reason for me to play it. I just wish that I could re-play Planescape Torment without suffering from "knowing the future" syndrome.

Yeah, the IWD games do seem to be a lot more linear than the others in the BG series... but #2 definitely has more storyline from what I can make out so far.
It's still nowhere near as open ended as BG was, but it's definitely better than IWD #1.
